Holiday closings

The Christmas and New Year’s holidays will result in office closures and abbreviated schedules across St. Mary Parish.
St. Mary Parish Government offices will be closed Wednesday through Friday in observance of Christmas. For New Year’s, the parish office will be closed Dec. 31 and Jan. 1, 2015.
The City of Morgan City offices will be closed Wednesday and Christmas Day. On Dec. 31, Morgan City offices will close at noon and remain closed until Jan. 2, 2015.
The City of Patterson will close its office at noon on Christmas Eve and reopen on Dec. 29. For the New Year’s holiday, Patterson offices will be closed Jan. 1 and 2, 2015.
Berwick municipal offices will be closed Thursday and Friday, Dec. 25 and 26, and Jan. 1 and 2, 2015.
The Harold J. “Babe” Landry Landfill in Berwick will close at noon Wednesday and reopen on Friday. That same schedule will be followed for the New Year’s holiday.
Morgan City’s Sanitation Department will not collect routes on Wednesday and Thursday for both Christmas and New Year’s weeks. However, normal routes will resume on Friday. For Christmas week, Thursday’s routes will be collected on Saturday.
Progressive Waste Solutions will not collect routes on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Those routes will be collected on Fridays and Saturdays.
The Daily Review will also have abbreviated hours and closings. There will be no Daily Review printed on Christmas Day and Jan. 2, 2015.
For Christmas, the newspaper office will close early Wednesday and will be closed Thursday. The Review will have an abbreviated day Friday. Wednesday’s paper will feature the annual Christmas edition highlighting letters to Santa from area school children.
In observance of New Year’s, the newspaper office will close early on Dec. 31 and Jan. 1, 2015 and will be closed Jan. 2, 2015.
Due to the abbreviated work schedule, advertising and news deadlines will be earlier than usual.
