Mahler likes most classical, “chill” and bluegrass music. His hobbies are his dog and being outdoors.
Mahler said he feels “so humbled to be celebrating the Holy Mass and giving thanks to Almighty God for the many blessings that the Shrimp and Petroleum Festival has meant and brought to the good people of Morgan City over the years in so many ways.
“It is wonderful to be sharing our culture, heritage and traditions by inviting others to come home and celebrate and relax with us during the Labor Day weekend.”
The Mass in the Park will be at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 4 in Lawrence Park. Mahler will also preside over the Blessing of the Fleet at 10 a.m. Sept. 4 from the Berwick docks.
