Labor Day closings

Area municipal, parish and state offices will be closed Monday in observance of Labor Day.
The St. Mary Parish Public Works Department said that the Harold J. “Babe” Landry Landfill in Berwick will close at noon Labor Day.
The landfill closure will not affect Progressive Waste Management’s garbage collection in the Tri-City area, although routes may be collected earlier than normal.
The Daily Review office will close early Friday and Monday in observance of the Louisiana Shrimp and Petroleum Festival and Labor Day.
Because of the abbreviated workdays, deadlines for news and advertising will be earlier than usual.
