Library offers several new and free services

St Mary Parish Library has announced three new free services for local residents.
Zinio is a multi-platform distribution service for digital magazines. This free service can be accessed from http://stmary.lib.la.us.
Next, there’s a collection of PlayAways (solid-state prerecorded audio players/audiobooks) and PlayAway Views (pre-loaded video players with mainly children titles) that are available for checkout at each of the seven branch locations. Access either at http://library.playaway.com.
Finally, there’s a service provided by the Library of Louisiana, Homework Louisiana (HomeworkLA). This is a free online homework and academic resource for kindergarten students through adult learners. The site offers “live” homework help in math, science, social studies and English (kindergarten through college) available Sundays through Thursdays from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m.; and Skill Center Resources (Study Resources, Test Prep Resources, Career Resources) available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
