Lighting the city for Christmas

Large crowds beared the cold Saturday night for the annual Christmas parade and lighting ceremony in downtown Franklin. With the streets and bayouside lined with decorations revelers watched as Mark Bogan, below, flipped the switch on the lights. Bogan represented all of the military veterans who were named as the year’s lamplighters. There also were trolley rides and children’s activities that included a snow playground as well as a performance by the Michael Foster Project brass band of Baton Rouge.
