Local schools receive grant money

The St. Mary Parish Foundation, an affiliate of Community Foundation of Acadiana, awarded a total of over $16,000 to 11 local schools and nonprofit organizations from its competitive grant cycle. The following entities were selected to receive grants: Berwick Elementary, Centerville High School, Chez Hope, Inc., City Court of Morgan City, Claire House for Women and Children, West St. Mary High School, Hattie Watts Elementary, Morgan City High School, Patterson Junior High School, St. Mary Community Action Agency and the Techeland Arts Council.
