Man charged with aggravated battery

A 40-year-old Morgan City man was booked Friday on an aggravated battery war-rant stemming from a Feb. 12 incident, Morgan City Police Chief James Blair said in a news release.
—Greg Adams, 40, of Burch Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 8:19 p.m. Friday.
Officers located Adams at a motel on La. 182, and arrested him on the war-rant. The warrant was is-sued after a Feb. 12 com-plaint of an alleged aggravated battery. Adams was jailed.
Blair reported the following arrests:
—Lacey M. Menard, 22, of Victor II Boulevard in Morgan City, was arrested at 12:48 p.m. Friday on a war-rant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana, a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of violation of uniform controlled dangerous substance laws, two war-rants for failure to appear on the charge of improper lane usage, two warrants for failure to appear on the charge of no driver’s license and two warrants for failure to appear on the charge of no vehicle insurance.
Menard was transported from the Livingston Parish Detention Center to the Morgan City Police Department on warrants and jailed.
—Tyler Brewer, 23, of Louisa Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 7:20 p.m. Friday on the charges of improper turning, possession of cocaine and violation of uniform controlled dangerous substance laws.
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle make a turn without using a turn signal and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was identified as Brewer. The officer observed suspected crack cocaine inside the vehicle. The location of the incident was within the area of an elementary school. Brewer was jailed.
—Travis Morin, 32, of Shaw Drive in Morgan City, was arrested at 8:34 p.m. Friday on the charges of reckless operation of a mo-tor vehicle and no vehicle insurance.
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle being operated in a reckless manner and accelerate through a red light.
As the vehicle went through the intersection, another vehicle, which had a green light, struck the vehicle, Blair said. Morin, the driver of the vehicle that ran the red light, was jailed.
—Tyler J. Davis, 17, of Natalie Lane in Patterson, was arrested at 9:40 p.m. Friday on the charges of disturbing the peace and entering or remaining after being forbidden.
Officers responded to the area of Front Street near Brashear Avenue in regard to a report of a large disturbance. Officers arrived and located Davis, along with several other people, in the area. An officer told Davis, who appeared to be involved in a disturbance, several times to leave the area. Davis ignored officers’ warnings and continued shouting at several of the subjects. Davis was jailed.
—Alex-Sandra C. Eidson, 35, of Laurel Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 11:07 p.m. Friday on a war-rant for disturbing the peace. An officer located Eidson on Laurel Street where Eidson was arrested on a warrant stemming from a disturbance reported Feb. 3. Eidson was jailed.
—Bryan K. Faulk, 31, of Village Lane in Amelia, was arrested at 2:19 a.m. Saturday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of littering public places and a warrant for failure to ap-pear on the charge of open container.
Officers located Faulk on Hilda Street where he was arrested on warrants. Faulk was jailed.
—Jamey G. Perry, 48, of Florence Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 7:31 a.m. Saturday on the charges of domestic abuse battery, possession of Suboxone and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of speeding.
Officers responded to a medical facility on La. 70 in regard to a report of a bat-tery. Officers arrived and spoke to a person later identified as the victim of the incident, who was receiving treatment for injuries sustained from a battery.
Officers were told that the incident occurred at a home on Florence Street where Perry allegedly committed a battery on the victim. Officers observed evidence of a battery at which time they went to the home on Florence Street, located Perry, and spoke to Perry about the incident.
Perry was arrested, at which time officers located suspected Suboxone on Perry. Perry was jailed.
—Katherine D. Maher, 19, of Bernice Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 10:38 p.m. Sunday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of unlawful possession of alcoholic beverages.
Officers located Maher at a home on Bernice Street and arrested Maher on a warrant for the City Court of Thibodaux. Maher was jailed.
—Tevit A. Douglas, 24, of Spring Street in Lafayette, was arrested at 5:43 p.m. Sunday on the charges of possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of persons under age 17.
A patrolling officer ob-served a vehicle parked at the Morgan City Complex near the swimming pool. As the officer approached, the vehicle appeared to be occupied by two subjects. The officer made contact with the occupants, identified as Douglas and a female juvenile.
Douglas’ behavior made officers suspicious that they may be involved in illegal drug activity. Officers con-ducted a search and located suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Doug-las was jailed. The juvenile was released to a guardian.
—Tonya J. Conner, 34, of Derrick Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 11:14 p.m. Sunday on the charge of possession of Carisoprodol.
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle traveling on La. 70 out of its lane of travel and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was identified as Conner. Conner’s behavior made officers suspicious that she may be involved in illegal drug activity. Police searched the vehicle and located suspected Carisoprodol. Conner was jailed.
—Jose Juan Cruz-Nicolas, 28, of Cottonwood Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 2:18 a.m. today on the charges of improper lane usage, no driver’s license and possession of an open container of alcohol within a motor vehicle.
A patrolling officer observed a vehicle on La. 182 traveling west in the east lane and made a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Cruz-Nicolas.
During the stop, the officer observed an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle. Cruz-Nicolas also did not have a valid driver’s license. Cruz-Nicolas was jailed.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported responding to 106 com-plaints in the parish and reported the following ar-rests relating to east St. Mary Parish:
—Devan N. Serpa, 30, of the 100 block of Shady Grove in Patterson, was arrested at 10:08 p.m. Fri-day on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities and criminal damage to property. A correctional officer booking Serpa at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center located the active warrant for her arrest. No bail is set.
—Ray Robicheaux, 42, of the 100 block of Teche Road in Bayou Vista, was arrest-ed at 2:13 a.m. Sunday for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, no proof of insurance and following vehicles too closely. A depu-ty investigating a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 90 in the Centerville area found that the driver of a pick-up truck, identified as Robicheaux, rear-ended an-other vehicle.
The two occupants of the vehicle that was hit and Robicheaux, the sole occupant of the truck, were transported to an area hospital. While speaking with Robicheaux, the deputy observed his speech to be slurred and other indicators of impairment. After being released from the medical facility, Robicheaux was jailed with no bail set.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrests:
—Stacy Grubb, 35, no ad-dress given, was arrested at 6:08 p.m. Friday on a Morgan City police warrant charging her with misdemeanor theft first offense. Grubb was transferred to the Morgan City Police Department with bail set at $500.
—Dontrell Williams, 22, of the 300 block of Ellis Street in Patterson, was arrested at 6:53 p.m. Friday on St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office warrants for failure to appear on the charges of criminal damage to property under $500, simple assault, simple criminal damage to property under $500, possession of marijuana second offense, possession of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoids and illegal carrying of weapons. Williams was jailed with bail set at $500,000.
—Ja’Quan Verrett, 17, of the 3200 block of La. 87 in Franklin, was arrested at 10:51 p.m. Saturday on the charges of resisting an officer by failure to comply, disturbing the peace by language and possession of tobacco under age 18. Verrett was released on $2,000 bail.
—Herbert Durocher, 58, of the 800 block of Red Cy-press Road in Patterson, was arrested at 2:44 a.m. Sunday on the charge of simple battery. Durocher was released on $319 in city fines.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrest:
—Kendra Theriot, 31, of the 100 block of Nicole Lane in Berwick, was arrested at 5:26 p.m. Friday on the charge of theft by shoplifting. Theriot posted cash bail.
