MAUDE ESTHER JAMES-EDWARDS

Maude Esther Jones-Edwards, 102, a native of Rosedale and resident of Patterson, passed away Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.
Visitation will be Saturday from 9 a.m. until services at 11 a.m. at New Mount Horeb Baptist Church, 3040 Irish Bend Road in Franklin, with the Rev. James F. Otis officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
She is survived by a son, Henry Smith Jr. of Greenbelt, Maryland; 13 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren; and five great-great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, two sisters, a daughter and four grandchildren.
Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of arrangements.
