Meetings set on Bayou Teche Paddle Trail

LAFAYETTE (AP) — Meetings are being planned to discuss ways to increase accessibility to Bayou Teche through the Bayou Teche Paddle Trail project.
The sessions will be coordinated by the Center for Louisiana Studies, which is administering a Federal Highway Administration grant for the project.
The center says the meetings will include discussion of eight sites of interest along Bayou Teche and discussion of floating dock options.
The meetings are set for:
— Tuesday, 6 p.m., Port Barre Town Hall, 504 Saizan Ave.
— Thursday, 6 p.m., Chitimacha Tribal School gymnasium, 3613 Chitimacha Trail, Charenton.
— Jan. 9, 6 p.m., New Iberia City Council Hall.
— Jan. 13, Acadian Memorial, St. Martinville.
