Merchants cards in the works

The City of Franklin, its merchants, Cajun Coast Visitors and Convention Bureau and the St. Mary Chamber of Commerce are working together on a Franklin Merchants Visitors Card.
To be included on the card, please send your name and contact information, your business’ contact information, the hours of operation and the incentive for patronizing your business to the Office of Community Development by 4 p.m. Monday, May 25. The incentive could be a free gift with purchase, a percentage off or a spending threshold before the total bill is reduced.
“I’m hoping that business owners in Franklin will want to continue this economic development momentum that we have here by participating in this initiative,” Mayor Raymond Harris said. “If we want Franklin to continue to thrive, we have to be creative to get people to come to see what we have to offer. Franklin is a jewel that needs to be seen to be appreciated; therefore, I hope that business will participate and that the card will entice people to come to Franklin.”
