Missing juvenile located

A juvenile went missing Wednesday but has been found and returned to her family.
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said his office was alerted at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday that 16-year-old Jasmine Smith had last been seen on Beau Chene Lane in Franklin at about 3 p.m.
Through the course of the investigation, a sheriff’s detective with the juvenile division reportedly learned that Smith had left her home and was considered a runaway.
At 8 p.m. Thursday the sheriff’s office received information from the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office that Smith was located in St. Martin Parish.
She has since been reunited with her family, Hebert said.
