Morgan City BBQ Bash is July 24-25

StaffThe dates have been set for the fourth edition of what is becoming a Morgan City tradition — the Bayou BBQ Bash.
The bash, an official part of the Barbecue Competitors Alliance, will be July 24-25 this year and will be under the U.S. 90 bridge.
The entry fee for local St. Mary Parish teams is $50 for each of three meats, a half-chicken, pork ribs or brisket, or $150 for all three. The same fees apply to competitive cooking teams.
Corporate teams will need $250 to enter and compete in all three-meat categories.

There will also be a kids’ barbecue competition, a craft show and the Run for the Ribs, a 5-kilometer run and walk.
The live music schedule:
—Friday: Déjà vu, 6-10 p.m.
—Saturday: Hal Bruni & the Branded, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Cliff Hillebrand & the Anytime Band, 5 to 9 p.m.
