Morgan City registrar of voters office closed

The Morgan City registrar of voters office is temporarily closed.
Registrar Jolene Holcombe said the offices are short-staffed at this time, so all business is being handled through the Franklin office, located on the third floor of the St. Mary Parish Courthouse.
The Morgan City branch office will re-open “as soon as it is feasible to do so,” Holcombe said in a news release today.
Voter registration and other services are available online through the Secretary of State’s website for those with a Louisiana driver’s license.
Voter registration mail-in applications are available at area libraries, town halls, water district offices and most public service agencies, Holcombe said.
