Motorcyclist injured in hit and run

A motorcyclist was airlifted to Thibodaux Regional Medical Center Monday after being hit by a car, which left the scene, on U.S. 90 in Patterson, police said.
Patterson Police received a call at about 4 p.m. Monday of a hit and run crash on U.S. 90 west at Railroad Avenue in which a vehicle struck a motorcycle, police said.
Lance Justilien, 54, of Patterson, was riding the motorcycle and was airlifted to Thibodaux Regional Medical Center after suffering injuries including a broken arm as a result of the crash, police said.
The driver of the car, Silton Span, 17, of Patterson, was charged with failure to yield with an accident, no driver’s license, and hit and run.
Span was booked and released.
