New Mexico Police: Berwick man dies in Friday crash, two others injured

A 23-year-old Berwick man has died, and two others were injured after an early Friday morning crash in New Mexico, according to a New Mexico State Police news release.
At about 12:25 a.m. Friday, New Mexico State Police officers responded to the scene of a fatal vehicle crash. This crash occurred at mile marker 103 on Interstate 10 east of Deming, New Mexico, the release stated.
The initial investigation revealed that a vehicle driven by Charles Preece, 26, of Berwick was traveling east on I-10 when the vehicle he was driving struck a guardrail, police said.. The vehicle then flipped over, coming to rest on its top, police said.
One of the passengers in the vehicle, identified as Chance Rebardi, 23, of Berwick, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The driver and another passenger, identified as Robert Toups, 31, of Morgan City sustained injuries and were transported from the scene to Mimbres Memorial Hospital, the release stated.
None of the occupants in the vehicle were wearing seat belts, police said. The crash is still under investigation, the release stated.
