Parish council meets tonight
Members of the St. Mary Parish Council meet in regular session Wednesday at 6 pm.
Items on the agenda include:
—Resolutions on execution of an agreement with the lowest bidder on the Yellow Bayou and Hanson Canal floodgates and levee improvements project, and a change order on same; execution of a mowing and litter pickup agreement with Department of Transportation and Development; a change order on the Plantation Inn Pump Station replacement, project; a service agreement with Moreau & Associates, Auctioneer for auction of surplus equipment; execution of bill of sale with Conrad Aluminum LLC on certain equipment and other items; a contract with Glenn Lege Construction, Inc. on the patch and overlay of Iberia Street in Franklin; a change order and notice of substantial completion on road and drainage improvements to Labau, Jolivette, Ninth and Tenth streets in Baldwin.
—Review of Planning and Zoning recommendations on preliminary and final development plans on subdivisions of properties at 120 La. 3215 in Garden City by New 90 LLC, and 8905 Hwy. 182 in Siracusa by Sam Siracusa Estate LLC.
—Notice from DOTD that it is evaluating a request by the parish to construct on and off ramps on U. S. 90 at Willow Street in Franklin, but notes that “available funding is presently being dedicated to completion of the upgrade of the corridor for I-49 and does not include any plans for additional interchanges.”
—Appointment of the official journal.
The meeting will be held on the fifth floor of the courthouse in Franklin, 500 Main St.
