Parish council meets Wed.

Members of the St. Mary Parish Council meet in regular session at 6 p.m.
Items on the agenda include:
—Introduction of ordinances amending the zoning law to rezone property on behalf of Diane Matthews at 144 Yellow Bayou Road in Centerville from single family residential to existing neighborhood to allow for placement of a motor home; and at 8691 E. Hwy 182, Amelia, for a specific use permit on behalf of Tony Booty for operation of a sexually oriented business.
—Resolutions on a consent agreement with the Corps of Engineers on the Hanson Canal floodgate project; and cooperative endeavor agreements with the state Department of the Treasury on grant funds for the Keep St. Mary Beautiful program, the Myette Point Landing drainage project, and Kemper Williams Park and the Patterson Cypress Sawmill Festival.
—Resolutions requesting Coastal Protection and Restoration funding under the Restore Act for the Bayou Chene, Bayou Teche, Lake Palourde area and Yokely Levee flood protection projects.
—Resolutions increasing the membership of the Board of Commissioners of the St. Mary Parish Sewerage Commission 8 from three members to five; and an amendment to sales tax allocation agreement on the Wards 6 and 9 three-tenths sales tax.
—Guest appearances by Adriana Drusini and Jenni Ducote, LSU AgCenter Extension Agents, and 4-H students.
—Consideration of an annual funding request by St. Mary Outreach in the amount of $6,000.
—Notice by Registrar of Voters that due to an employee shortage the Morgan City branch office will be closed until Sept. 30.
The meeting will be held on the fifth floor of the courthouse in Franklin and is open to the public.
