Parish council will meet Wednesday
Members of the St. Mary Parish Council will meet in regular session Wednesday.
Items on the agenda include:
—Reports by Beverly Domengeaux of the St. Mary Council on Aging and Cherrise Picard of Chez Hope.
—Introduction of an amendment to the Atchafalaya Golf Course Commission ordinance that would authorize parish administration to seek requests for proposals from private management companies for operation of the public course in Patterson.
—Consideration of proposed ordinances declaring certain public property as surplus and authorizing the sale of the same; amending the 2015 fiscal year budget; and rezoning certain property in Amelia owned by Thien Nai for use as a church. A public hearing on these items will be called at 5:45 p.m.
—Resolutions on a contract award to lowest bidder and grant agreement with the FAA on the runway and taxiway rehab project at Harry P. Williams Airport; agreements with South Central Louisiana Human Services Authority on services at Fairview Residential Services and Claire House; a change order and certificate of substantial completion with Patriot Construction & Equipment on the infrastructure improvement project at Charenton Canal Industrial Park; a certificate of partial substantial completion on the courthouse flood proofing project; decommissioning the non-directional beacon at Harry P. Williams Memorial Airport; establishing new solid waste tipping fees; and a change order with Acadiane’ Renovations Ltd. on renovations to the Blevins building in Franklin.
—A request by St. Mary Outreach Inc. for its annual $6,000 allocation.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. on the fifth floor of the courthouse in Franklin.
