Passing the Ribbon

The Red Ribbon Committee recently held its traditional “Passing the Ribbon” presentation. In keeping with tradition previous chair Blaise Smith, left, “passed the ribbon” to the incoming chair Scott Berry. In center is Gidget Everitt, Safe and Drug-Free Schools at-risk interventionist. The Red Ribbon Committee’s slogan for the 2015-16 campaign is “Shine your Light! Do what’s Right! Be Drug-Free!” Red Ribbon Week is Oct. 23 through Nov. 1 with the Parade of Schools and Zoo-to-Boo celebrations kicking off the week on Oct. 24. The week will end with the Motorcade on Saturday, Oct. 31.
