Pelican begins Franklin pickup Feb. 1

Pelican Waste will begin collecting garbage in the City of Franklin on Feb. 1.
Residents are asked to use the Pelican trash can on that date and after.
The City of Franklin will no longer collect roadside debris, beginning Feb. 1. Franklin residents will have to call Pelican to pick up and dispose of their roadside debris. There will be fees for this service.
The fees are as follows:
—Collection, transportation and disposal of white goods is $14 per item
—Collection, transportation and disposal of bulky waste is $15 per item
—Collection, transportation and disposal of bulky waste is $12 per cubic yard.
