Political forums to be held in Franklin

The City of Franklin, Cajun Coast Visitors and Convention Bureau and the St. Mary Chamber of Commerce are working together to bring candidates in the October elections to Franklin for public forums.
The forums will be Aug. 20 and 27 and Sept. 3 at 6 p.m. at the Teche Theatre for the Performing Arts.
Citizens may submit questions at City Hall from June 1 to July 1 during normal business hours. There will be index cards and boxes for people to write and deposit their questions in the Tax and Water departments.
All candidates for state governor and lieutenant governor, and St. Mary Parish sheriff, president and council are encouraged to contact Arlana Shields in Community Development by e-mail (ashields@franklin-la.com) or by phone (337-828-6345) by July 1, 2015, in order to be included in the forums.
