School Board to discuss buying more LearnPads

The St. Mary Parish School Board meets Thursday to discuss several renovation projects and reallocating funds to purchase LearnPads for all Franklin area elementary schools.
The board is set to consider funding for reroofing Wyandotte Elementary, air conditioner system replacements in the gyms at Patterson and Berwick high schools and a change order for the Morgan City High School renovation project.
Further, the board will consider allocating the $35,000 in proceeds from the 2013 City of Franklin purchase of the old Crowell school and reallocating the $91,861 approved in November to now include all District I (Franklin area) elementary schools in the purchase of LearnPads.
Also on the agenda is the audit report for the year ended June 30.
The meeting begins at 5 p.m. at the Central Office Complex in Centerville and is open to the public.
