Seniors can ride
to local concerts
The Community Concert Association of Morgan City has announced a new partnership with the St. Mary Council on Aging, which is offering free transportation to and from CCA concerts for senior citizens who live in St. Mary Parish.
Senior citizens must pay for their own admission to the CCA concerts. An adult ticket costs $25 per concert.
An adult season subscription for admittance to all six concerts costs $45.
The CCA concert season begins Tuesday.
The Council on Aging defines a senior citizen as someone who is 60 years old or above. Senior citizens will be shuttled to and from their homes.
This service is provided throughout the entire St. Mary Parish area.
The transportation shuttle can accommodate up to two wheelchairs. Rides must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance of each concert.
To schedule a ride, call the Council on Aging Transportation Officer at either the Franklin or Morgan City office 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Franklin office: 337-828-1210 at 302 Iberia St.
Morgan City office, 985-384-3324 at 301 3rd St.
