Squirrel blamed for outage

The Cypress Gardens circuit in Morgan City went out for about 30 minutes on Thanksgiving Day.
A squirrel in the wrong place at the wrong time was the culprit, according to city Utilities Director Bill Cefalu.
The first report of the power outage was around 10 a.m., as residents were preparing for Thanksgiving dinner.
