Storm causes damage in St. Mary

An intense storm front barreled through St. Mary last night and this morning. The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Department reported a downed tree on La. 83 in Glencoe that was removed by state crews. Deputies also reported to a traffic incident on Alice C Road in the Centerville area where the wind reportedly pushed a vehicle off the road. The driver was uninjured. At top, the storm tore the service meter off the home of Wilson and Dana Judice when the utility pole snapped. Below, a tree narrowly missed the vehicles and home of Dean and Chris Duhon, also of Centerville.
