TDT-V registration begins

General registration for Tour du Teche V and its sub-races opens Monday, May 19.
Registration closes at 5 p.m., Friday, Sept. 12.
The races for kayaks, canoes, paddle boards and pirogues begin Friday, Oct. 3, at Port Barre, La.
Tour du Teche veterans, including coureurs des bois (bank runners), may register early. Those who do so by 5 p.m., May 17 will receive a 20 percent discount on registration fees.
Registration fees include one coureur des bois per boat. Meals are not included in the registration fee.
THE RACES
—Tour du Teche – Port Barre to Berwick, 135 miles over three days; $125 per paddler in Racing, $80 per paddler in Voyageur.
—Crawfish – Port Barre to Breaux Bridge, 34 miles Friday; $60 per paddler (Voyageur only).
—Acadian – Port Barre to St. Martinville, 49 miles Friday; $60 per paddler (Voyageur only).
—Hot Sauce – St. Martinville to New Iberia, 24 miles Saturday; $60 per paddler (Voyageur only).
—Sugar – St. Martinville to Franklin, 59 miles Saturday; $60 per paddler (Voyageur only).
—Oil & Gas – Franklin to Berwick, 27 miles Sunday; $60 per paddler (Voyageur only).
