Verdunville summer program kicks off

The Verdunville Summer Enrichment Program began June 16.
The program runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the St. Mary Parish Alternative School. Registration is currently being taken at the school, 131 South Clausen Road.
Almetra J. Franklin, CEO said, “This year marks the fourth year that this program has been implemented, and we are excited to serve all the returning and new students in St. Mary Parish. Activities include arts, crafts and field trips. The program is a great way to continue educating our children while they receive valuable summer enrichment. The program is held for children ages 5-14 and is open to all those who qualify. There will be hot meals served and other enrichment activities for the children to participate in as well.”
