Water outage planned in Patterson

Residents along 10 streets in Patterson should expect about a four-hour loss of water service Thursday beginning at 10 a.m., Steve Bierhorst, Patterson public works director said.
The area affected will be south of the railroad tracks from Veterans Boulevard, westward. Other streets affected will include Progress Road and Lia, Jake, David, Jason, Leon, Kim, Kelly and Pietro streets, Bierhorst said.
“We expect to have the water back on at least by 2 p.m. but it may be sooner,” Bierhorst said. “Residents can consider filling their sinks or tubs with water for flushing toilets or other things.”
The water turn off will occur for a valve replacement that goes to a Veterans Boulevard nursing home fire suppression system, Bierhorst said.
