West St. Mary High School Homecoming
West St. Mary High School crowned its 2015 Homecoming Queen, Myria Druilhet, during halftime at Thursday night’s game. She is the daughter of Tekesha Austin and Marlon Druilhet. She is a member of 4-H, FBLA, National Honor Society, both the BETA and the French clubs and serves as a Health Ambassador for West St. Mary. Myria is the captain of the volleyball team, and is also a member of the basketball, softball and track teams. She is Senior Class President, a Girl Scout and participates in the S.T.E.M. Community Service Program. She plans to attend Nicholls State University and major in nursing with a minor in forensic science. Her future plans are not only to become a successful woman, but also to address the needs of the less fortunate members of society and develop a site to house the homeless.
