West St. Mary honors Dr. King

Baldwin and Franklin both held Martin Luther King Jr. Day events Monday in honor of the slain civil rights leader. In Franklin, the event was a motorcade which began on Wall Street and proceeded up the boulevard named in honor of Dr. King, then to St. Joseph's Baptist Church. More than 60 vehicles participated in the motorcade. In Baldwin, marchers left from Trinity United Methodist Church and proceeded to Special Providence Baptist Church.
