Bourdier Dinner
Fundraising dinner to help with expenses for Morgan City volunteer firefighter Travis Bourdier, is 11 a.m. until, Saturday, Oct. 19, at Rita Mae’s Kitchen, Brashear Ave., Morgan City. Menu: chicken and sausage jambalaya, fried catfish and cake. Cost $7. To order call 985-384-3550. Bourdier was injured while on duty.

Food/Shelter Grant
St. Mary Parish awarded federal funds under the Emergency Food And Shelter Grant National Board Program. Local agencies chosen to receive funds must:  Be private voluntary non-profits or units of government; have an accounting system; practice non-discrimination; have shown the capability to deliver emergency food and/or shelter programs; and if it is a private voluntary organization then it must have a voluntary board. Head of service groups may send a letter of application to: Clarence Robinson Jr., P.O. Box 43, Morgan City, La. 70381. Application deadline is Friday, Oct 25.
