Police make stop, issue citations
A 66-year-old Franklin man was arrested for numerous motor vehicle violations, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
—Frank Wilson, 66, of Irish Bend Road in Franklin, was arrested at 11:32 a.m. Monday on the charges of proper equipment required, expired driver’s license, failure to carry registration in a motor vehicle, and no motor vehicle insurance.
A deputy conducted a traffic stop on U.S. 90 in the Patterson area on a vehicle with only one working brake light. The deputy spoke with the driver, identified as Wilson, and found the vehicle violations.
Wilson was released on a summons to appear March 8.
Hebert also reported responding to 36 complaints.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrest:
— Tadarrius Winston, 27, of Seventh Avenue in Brighton, Alabama, was arrested at 11:39 p.m. Monday on a charge for disturbing the peace intoxicated.
Winston remains jailed. Bail is set at $176.
Morgan City Police Chief James Blair reported the following arrests:
—Ryan J. Bowman, 21, of Jupiter Street in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 9:50 a.m. Monday on a warrant for probation violation two counts.
Bowman turned himself in to the Morgan City Police Department for active warrants he held for the Sixth Ward City Court. Bowman was booked and incarcerated.
—Heather D. Banda, 39, of Fifth Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 9:25 p.m. Monday on a warrant for failure to appear to pay fines five counts.
Officers located Banda in the area of David Drive and Victor II Boulevard. A warrants check was done on Banda and it was determined that she held several warrants for the Sixth Ward City Court.
Banda was placed under arrest and transported to the Morgan City Police Department for booking and incarceration.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported no arrests.
