Berwick postpones gas system repairs

The town of Berwick postponed making repairs to the town's gas distribution system until sometime next week, Mayor Louis Ratcliff said.
The town was originally scheduled to shut off gas service for several hours Tuesday to make the repairs. However, the contractor for the project received the wrong valve needed for the repairs, Ratcliff said.
The areas affected will include Renwick Subdivision, Willowcrest Subdivision, Techeview Subdivision, Country Club Subdivision, Cameron Iron Works, Fairview Drive/Old Spanish Trail, Berwick Junior High School, Berwick High School, all trailer parks on La. 182 and all businesses south of La. 182, the release said.
