Progressive delivering trash cans in Morgan City

Progressive Waste Solutions started delivering new garbage cans to Morgan City residents and businesses during the past few days, according to a city news release. Residents may start using the new cans immediately.
Progressive will continue to service the older cans until the new ones are delivered. Place the old dark green cans along the curbside, and starting Monday, the process of picking up the old cans will begin.
Residents should leave old cans at the curbside until they are picked up by the contractor. This may take a few days.
Do not use these older cans for garbage pickup, as the service company contracted cannot pick them up if loaded.
Progressive has made arrangements to purchase additional garbage cans for those residents who want them. To order additional cans, contact Progressive at 1-800-693-4866.
