Water shut off on Veterans Blvd. in Patterson

As of 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Patterson city officials expected water to be shut off for a few hours on Veterans Boulevard in Patterson in order to repair a section of pipe damaged Tuesday, Public Works Director Steve Bierhorst said in an email.
The city of Patterson have shut off the water this morning to those residences located on Veterans Boulevard to the north side of Veterans Boulevard commonly known as the area south of the Patterson nursing home. This is due to a contractor damaging the eight-inch water main Tuesday on the corner of Veterans Boulevard and Progresso Street, Bierhorst said. As of about 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Bierhorst expected the water will be shut off for several hours. The city will have to replace a section of damaged pipe, Bierhorst said.
