A 17-year old Berwick man was arrested Wednesday with three others on marijuana charges after he fled the scene during a traffic stop, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
A Berwick man is in serious condition at a Baton Rouge hospital after an SUV struck his bicycle Thursday evening on La. 70 in Morgan City, police said.

The Port of Morgan City’s Government Emergency and Operations Center will host the area’s 2016 Annual Hurricane Season Preparedness Meeting at 10 a.m. May 12. Hurricane season runs June 1-Nov.
