Staff report

An ongoing, joint investigation between the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office and Louisiana Office of Alcohol & Tobacco Control has resulted in an additional arrest following the arrest of Trey M. Hebert who was charged with 1 count of second degree battery resulting from an altercation that occurred at T-Herm’s Lakeview Inn on Jan. 1, stated a news release from Assumption Parish Parish Sheriff Mike Waguespack.
Herman “T-Herm” Cavalier, 62, of 123-A Substation Road, Pierre Part, was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center and charged with 2 counts of operating without a State Alcohol Beverage Permit on Friday, the news release stated. Witness accounts confirm T-Herms Lakeview Inn Bar was in operation on De. 21 and Dec. 31. According to the ATC permitting system, the business’s State Alcohol Beverage permit had expired on Nov. 30, 2013. Additionally, on Dec. 26, 2013, an ATC agent contacted the owner’s wife in reference to the bars state permit being delinquent. She stated “they would not be renewing the state alcohol permit for the location” and as a result ATC closed the State Alcohol permit for T-Herms Lakeview Inn, the release stated.
