LEONARD CALVIN

Mr. Leonard Calvin, 45, a resident and native of Patterson, died Friday, January 10, 2014, at 6 a.m., at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.
He is survived by his mother, Emma Lue Stackhouse Calvin of Patterson; two brothers, Lucius Calvin Jr. of Patterson and David Calvin of Opelousas; and three sisters, Lisa Calvin of Patterson, Jerilyn Calvin of Houston, Texas and Marie Calvin of Opelousas.
Mr. Calvin was preceded in death by his father, Lucius Calvin Sr.; three uncles and five aunts.
Visitations will be observed Saturday, Jan. 18, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., at St. Luke Baptist Church in Patterson.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with the Rev. Keith Verette Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Home Industrial Cemetery in Patterson.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparation.
