Siracusaville parade moved inside; Hephaestus undecided

While one Fat Tuesday parade has been modified due to inclement weather, another was still on as of 9 a.m., representatives said.
Denise Bostic, chairwoman of the board of the Krewe of Hephaestus, said that as of 9 a.m., the parade will roll as scheduled. However, a final decision will be made whether to roll, delay or cancel as of 2 p.m., the parade’s official start time.
“Of course, we’re hoping we can go. It depends on the rain,” Bostic said.
Meanwhile, the Siracusa/Greenwood Mardi Gras Parade has been canceled, and, instead, a “Mardi Gras function” will be held at 2 p.m. in the Siracusaville Recreation Center gym, Parade Director Leroy Trim said this morning.
