Joan Sturdivant Earles, 82, died Friday, March 28, 2014, at 11:05 a.m. She was a native of New Orleans and resident of Houma.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Chauvin Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at Chauvin Funeral Home.
She is survived by her sons, Bill Earles and Glenn Earles; daughters, Janet Earles Shaw and companion, Gary Hergert, and Susan M. Earles; grandchildren, Laura Earles, Laci Earles Naquin and husband, Drew, Jenny Krost, Gwyn Loftin and husband, Jessie, Nikki Caspolich and husband, Randy, Billy Earles and companion, Lindsey Necaise, Shane Landry and wife, Brandy, Ryan Landry and wife, Amy, and Brad Landry and wife, Angel; great-grandchildren, Kaden and Alli Naquin, Colby Krost, Jessica, Brooke and Brayden Loftin, Brittney and Mason Caspolich, Landen Necaise, Brelynn Earles, Kali Landry, Hayley and Addison Landry, and Kellan and Spencer Landry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roland Albert and Mamie Braud Sturdivant; and a brother, Roland Sturdivant Jr.
She was a member/parishioner of St. Bernadette Soubirous Catholic Church.
Joan was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother best known for her kindness, generosity, her sense of humor and smile.
She was loved by all who knew her and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
