Biblical scientific creationist to speak at First Baptist

Grady S. McMurtry, a biblical scientific creationist, will speak Sunday through Wednesday at First Baptist Church, 1915 Victor II Blvd., Morgan City.
McMurtry is to speak in Sunday School at 9:30 a.m.; and services at 10:45 a.m., 5 p.m., and 6 p.m.; and each week night at 6 p.m.
McMurtry is a recognized international speaker on the subject of creation vs. evolution, both from a biblical viewpoint as well as that of secular science, a news release from the Rev. Nathan Rush, pastor, stated.
He has an entertaining and humorous style presenting scientific fact and Bible truths, Rush said.
McMurtry was an evolutionist for 20 years prior to being convinced of the scientific foundation for the creation viewpoint, Rush said.
McMurtry addresses this issue on the basis of science and contends for the truth of the Biblical account of creation and its tremendous relevance to our lives, Rush said.
