CCHS wins golf match

Central Catholic defeated Assumption and Morgan City in golf action at The Atchafalaya at Idlewild Wednesday.
The Eagles combined for a 192, while Assumption had a 214 and Morgan City, a 250.
Central Catholic’s Chaz Galloway was low medalist after firing a nine-hole 38, while the Eagles’ Bennett Duffy and Miles Scarborough each followed with the second- and third-lowest scores of the day with a 46 and 49, respectively.
Other Eagles included Conner Laiche and Tanner Ross, who each shot a 59; while Greg Landry shot a 65.
Carter Arcemont led Morgan City with a 51, while Austin Courtney shot a 65, Chandler Delaune, 66; and Ethan Aucoin, 68.
Charlie Daigle and Jacob Richard each shot a 51 for Assumption, while Grant Labert fired a 52.
Central Catholic will return to action Wednesday with a match at The Atchafalaya at Idlewild.
