Water outage scheduled Saturday morning

Water service will be interrupted Saturday morning in some parts of the Wyandotte area, according to a city news release.
The city will be changing out two water valves at the corner of Grizzaffi Street and Railroad Avenue beginning at 9 a.m. The work is being done in preparation of a tie in of a 16-inch water main into a 6-inch water main, the news release stated.
City workers are trying to increase flow and chlorine residual in the area. The estimated time of the outage will be about two hours, the release stated. Anyone with questions can contact City Hall at 985-385-1770.
