ARTHUR JONES SR.

Mr. Arthur Jones Sr., 89, a resident and native of Baldwin, died Sunday, April 13, 2014, at 2:39 p.m., at his residence following a short illness.
He is survived by eight sons, Micheal Jones, Theoples Jones, Federal Jones, Jeff Jones and Malcolm Jones of Baldwin, Arthur Jones Jr. of Franklin, Joseph Jones of New Iberia and Theodore Jones of Stone Mountain, Georgia; three daughters, Mary Ferguson and Patricia Jackson of Baldwin, and Linda Conners of Jeanerette; two brothers, Felton Jones of Four Corners and Henry Jones of Baldwin; 22 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife, one son and both parents.
Visitations will be observed at Otis Mortuary Chapel Saturday, April 19, from 8 a.m. to 8:45 a.m.; and at Special Providence Baptist Church on Saturday, April 19, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, April 19, at 11 a.m., at Special Providence Baptist Church in Baldwin, with the Rev. W. J. Otis officiating. Interment will follow in the Special Providence Cemetery.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
