Mock prom crash

A mock car crash as the result of impaired driving was enacted recently as part of the Safe and Sober Prom Campaign for students of Franklin, Hanson and Centerville high schools. Students as well as personnel from State Police Troop I, Franklin police and fire departments, the Sheriff’s Office, the 16th Judicial District Attorney’s Office, Franklin Marshal’s Office, Acadian Ambulance, Ibert’s Funeral Home, MADD, the Red Ribbon Committee and St. Mary Parish School Board, took part in the crash. The mock crashes also were enacted at West St. Mary High School and in eastern St. Mary schools in advance of prom nights.
