Morgan City water line work

From left, city workers Henry Fraijo and Robert Gould work on the 16-inch water line this morning at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Grizzaffi Street while Morgan City Water, Sewer and Gas Supervisor Kawika Kaai watches. City workers were doing the initial setup for a private contractor to tie the 16-inch main water line into a 6-inch water line, Kaai said. That tie-in will increase water flow to certain sections of the city, he said. City workers have been changing out water valves throughout the city to help with water flow and chlorine levels, he said.
