Ware and Glasper lead FSHS
Peyton Lee Ware and Lisa Annette Glasper will lead Franklin Senior High School’s Class of 2014 as top graduates during commencement ceremonies Friday. The ceremony is at 6 p.m. in the school auditorium.
Peyton, the son of Shanon Ware and Dave Ware, is finishing his high school career with a 3.80 grade point average.
His academic achievements include completion of honors studies in English, biology, American history and algebra with an award for Outstanding Student in English Honors; four years on the honor roll; president of the Future Business Leaders of America; and National Honor Society. He also earned All American Cheerleader at Southwestern Cheerleading Association summer camp.
Peyton was also active in cross country track, cheerleading, theater, gospel choir, State Rally and mentoring.
He will be attending Xavier University on a $40,000 scholarship. His course of study will be in pre-med with a major in biology. He plans to attend medical school with the goal of becoming a pediatrician.
Lisa Annette Glasper, the daughter of Margaret Bobb and Theopholia Thomas, is finishing her high school career with a 3.76 grade point average.
She was on the honor roll all four years and selected Student of the Month in December 2013.
As a member of the National Honor Society, she has been accepted to Southern University’s Honor College on a scholarship.
Her other activities and achievements include Future Business Leaders of America; score of superior in Personal Finance at FBLA competition; member of the theatre program for one year; and featured as WAFB’s Best of the Class 2014.
Lisa plans to major in psychology at Southern then pursue graduate degrees at LSU with the goal of opening a clinical psychology practice in Atlanta.
