Cleco donation

Cleco has presented the Center of Hope in Centerville with a $5,000 donation. The donation will come in handy as the agency that provides services to people with cognitive disabilities prepares to construct its new facility. St. Mary Parish President Paul Naquin and Councilman David Hanagriff were on hand at the check presentation to assure the staff that construction funds are in hand and the project will be going out for bids in about a month. Center of Hope has accumulated $170,000 for the $450,000 project through fundraisers over the past eight years. The rest is coming from the parish with shares from its five municipalities. Presenting the check to Chief Executive Officer Bonita Peltier is Steve Segura, Cleco manager of community and business services.
