The Art of Respect

South Central Louisiana Health Services Agency and Brittany’s Project of the Franklin area sponsored “The Art of Respect” recently at the Patterson Civic Center. Eighteen students from West St. Mary High, Franklin Senior High, Berwick High School and friends of the Brittany’s Project attended. It was a day devoted to celebrating the gifts and friendship of persons with intellectual, developmental and/or physical disabilities. The event was designed to show “what acceptance, inclusion, friendship, unity and respect look like through art.” Above, Sandra and Brittany Saucier collaborate on an artistic project, and below are the participants who attended the event and organizers.
