Man shot in leg during bar fight

A man suffered moderate injuries Saturday morning at a bar after being shot in the leg during an altercation with another man, Morgan City Police Sgt. Kenneth LaCoste said.
At 12:30 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a shooting at La Negra Bar located in the 6000 block of La. 182, LaCoste said.
Two men got into an argument at the bar, and are accused of throwing beer bottles at each other, LaCoste said. Officers believe one of the men may have produced a handgun firing a round that struck the victim in the leg, he said.
Police have not released the names of the men involved in the incident, LaCoste said. The shooting remains under investigation, he said.
The shooting victim was treated at Teche Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries, he said.
